Press release from the Department of Justice:

San Francisco — The Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) announces the arrest of Marvellus Anthony Lucas Jr. and Donnell Lawrence Smith. Lucas and Smith were both wanted by the Salem Police Department for trafficking of a minor for prostitution. Lucas and Smith compelled a minor to solicit herself for sexual acts in the San Francisco area. Lucas and Smith provided the minor with transportation from Oregon to San Francisco. Upon the minor’s arrival in San Francisco, an advertisement was allegedly created to attract potential customers.

PSWRFTF members were contacted by the USMS Oregon Task Force and advised of the case. PSWRFTF members were told of the possible whereabouts of Lucas and Smith and set up surveillance within the 200 block of Font Blvd in San Francisco. PSWRFTF members made entry into the residence and subsequently arrested Lucas and Smith. The minor was recovered and turned over to Child Protective Services.

Don O’Keefe, the United States Marshal for the Northern District of California stated “The protection of our children is of the upmost importance. Those persons that seek to do them harm will face justice.”

Lucas and Smith were booked into the San Francisco County Jail and are awaiting extradition to Oregon.

The San Francisco Fugitive Task Force is a division of the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force and is part of a network of U.S. Marshals task forces across the country.
